PROJECTS

Ever since the age of six, when I started *doing* Roman Scrolls and made 57 of them out of disused wallpaper, I’ve had a project on the go.

Current writing projects include:

Story commission: Lonely Planet Anthology 'Better than Fiction' due out November 2012.

Article in Her Royal Majesty issue 12 due out May 2012.

Original Essay at Powells.com due out May 2012.

I am writer in residence at Shoreham Airport funded by Arts Council England. For this project I have been researching the archives of the airport, and organising a number of literary events, including a psychogeography event with Iain Sinclair.

Journalism/reviews (Al Ahram)

Excerpts published (The Moth Arts and Culture magazine)

Short stories in Mslexia and Goldfish

Editing I edited Nothing to Lose but Your Life by Suad Amiry.

I am interested in working on creative writing projects. I like projects that are locally-focussed (libraries, prisons, wandering around geographical spaces, old buildings, finding out about the stories that exist underneath the architecture and the geography of a place) and internationally-minded endeavours, including travelling, cultural-exchanges and translation projects. If you would like to talk to me about a possible project do get in touch.
